Thanks for everyones answers. I looked in an old cookbook I had. You need to boil it for 25-30 minutes to get to the hard crack stage, if you don’t have a candy thermometer.

I want to put in the details with a bunch of different colors. And Im wondering what would be the best way to do this? I thought possibly brushing different colors into the mold first, then pouring the base chocolate over that, but then wondered if it would melt the brushed chocolate back in with the other, and it would all go to waste?
And also, I want skin tone colored chocolate. How would I go about getting that?

The candy is square and flat, maybe 1/8″ thick, and about 1/2″ long. It’s not Cow Tails candy.
